About Maggie ![]() Maggie’s School was built in 2008 in memory of Maggie Elizabeth McLeod, who died in an automobile accident August 12, 2005 at the age of nineteen. Maggie was out saying her last goodbyes before starting her new life as a college student the next day at The University of South Carolina. Maggie’s School was built by her mom, Wink McLeod to reMEMber Maggie. Maggie’s School now has over 500 students ranging in age from 3 to 15 with the average age 11 years old. The children are provided a Christian education, two meals a day and medications. Their parents come after school to learn to read. Maggie’s School is changing the lives of the remote village in the Turkana region in northeast Kenya. |
