There is a run dubbed "Maggie's Run". The run will be on June 26th, at Furman University at 8:30am. Runner bags can be picked up at "Run In", Augusta Road the day before from noon until 6pm. Pre-registration will be from 7.00 AM until 8:30. Runners may pre-register online at www.strictlyrunning.com. The fee for the race is $25.00 before the race and $30.00 the day of the race. The run will start at the Amphitheater and is a 5k.

The first annual Maggie's Run, 5 K Race held on June 27, 2009, at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina - was a great success! Thank you to all who supported and participated in this event.

This race was organized to honor the life of Maggie Elizabeth McLeod, and to reMEMber her. Maggie died on August 12, 2005 in a car accident at the age of 19. She was out saying her last good-byes before she was to start her next life chapter as a college student at the University of South Carolina.

The proceeds from the race will support the children attending Maggie's School in Kenya. Maggie's School was dedicated in July 2008, providing the first ever school for the Turkana people in the northern region of Kenya.
